The VHRR Phillip Island Classic ‘Festival of Sport’ will be held at Phillip Island, Victoria on 19 – 21 March 2010.
Australian motor racing legends headed by triple World Champion Sir Jack Brabham are turning out in force to celebrate Australia’s greatest classic motorsport festival at Phillip Island over the March 19-21 weekend.

Today the Phillip Island Classic is recognised as one of the largest historic motor racing events in the world with up to 600 entries from eminent national and international drivers.
For the VHRR it is the 21st year of this historic event but importantly it is also the celebration of the 100th year of the Alfa Romeo with special vehicles arriving for the event, some of which have never before been seen in Australia.

Salmon, Longhurst and White lead Bathurst 12 Hour Mitsubishi 1-2-3
After 12 hours and 239 laps, the 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour endurance race has been won by 2008 Bathurst 12 Hour champions Rod Salmon, Damien White, and new driver Tony Longhurst in a TMR-prepared Skwirk Mitsubishi Evo X.

Mitsubishi Motors to show Prototype i MiEV concept at 2009 Geneva Show

Tokyo, February 12, 2009 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is to give the Prototype i MiEV concept model its global debut at the 79th Geneva International Motor Show which runs from March 3 through March 15 at the Geneva Palexpo exhibition and conference complex (opening to the general public on March 5).

Mitsubishi Motors to withdraw from 2009 Dakar Rally

TOKYO, February 4, 2009 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced today their decision to withdraw from Cross Country Rallying, starting with the legendary Dakar Rally. The sudden deterioration of the global economy made it necessary for the company to focus its resources more tightly, leading to today’s announcement.
